When something or someone makes us angry, frustrated, irritated, or resentful, the best thing we can do, after acknowledging our feelings, is drop the story. There’s no upside to hanging on to an habitual spin that fosters unhealthy emotions. Deep down we understand that a steady diet of these emotions is as bad as laughter, joy and gratitude are good for us. Exercising our free will to drop the story and cultivate a healthy attitude may sound simplistic and yet hard to do. But with practice, it gets easier and it’s worth the effort…
