Matching Energy

Bigotry is defined as: intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself. That applies to everyone who believes that their view is the only right one -- no matter which side they're on. When the response to racism, sexism or other injustice matches the energy it's responding to, it perpetuates the problem. It simply ensures that that energy continues and everyone loses. Anger and outrage feed on themselves and exacerbate the conflict. When the “other side” of any issue confounds us, instead of fighting them with hostile energy, we can shift from opposition to cooperation by looking for outcomes that are...

Mutually beneficial.
