Our experiences are filtered through the lens of our conditioning, placing them somewhere on the continuum between terrible and fantastic. Before being positioned by us, everything is just neutral. Until we know that our perception is biased, we’ll be at the mercy of our programing. Once we see our bias, we can see beyond it. We can practice enlarging our perspective by recognizing that we assign meaning to everything. Our beliefs don’t hold up to this scrutiny unless we want them to.
