Perfection
The idea that we need to be perfect (at anything) is bound to make us feel bad. Since the definition of perfection evolves, it will always be an elusive target. If we’re dissatisfied because we fail to meet our own expectations, it doesn’t mean we need to work even harder. No matter how much we try, an over-exacting standard will always lie between us and fulfillment. When we acknowledge that our patterns of feeling insufficient is what’s making us feel bad, we’re well on the path…
To happiness.
