Our Right to Happiness
Believing that living meaningfully is more noble and less frivolous than being happy is optional. Needing to satisfy certain criteria before we’ll allow ourselves to be happy, content, joyful or fulfilled is just an idea. We all have the right to feel good without preconditions. Believing we have to ‘earn’ it is self-imposed and arbitrary. Meaning is simply a mental concept that we create. Happiness is free to anyone who chooses it. We get it by deeply accepting ourselves, others and what is occurring in the present moment. Interestingly, it also helps us more effortlessly create the conditions and meaning….
We want.
