Stop Thinking
Thoughts are neutral. They just arise. It’s only when we hop on a thought and ride it out that we cause ourselves to suffer. Once we become conscious enough, we can see that we have control over whether or not we cultivate any thought. If we catch ourselves in time, we can prevent the downward spiral into the maelstrom of distress. While it seems like a necessary and natural thing, it’s only when we practice ‘not thinking’ that we find how unimportant and often destructive it can be.
