The Mirror
While it can often appear that others affect how we feel about ourselves, they really just mirror our own self-perception. Those who doubt, criticize or otherwise ‘make us feel bad’ aren’t actually the cause of the way we feel. They’re simply reflecting a part of us that already feels that way about ourselves. This information is important — not so we can mount a campaign to change our image in their minds — but so we can examine and improve it in our own.
