Cede Control

If we pet a cat unconsciously with too much force, it’ll probably run away. If we try to hold the cat against its will, so we can pet to our hearts content, it’ll try even harder to get away. On the other hand, if we increase our sensitivity, pet more gently and allow the cat the freedom to do as it pleases, it will most likely stay.
