It's Never Personal

A remark or action that’s directed right at us is never really about us. Everything said tells us more about the inner landscape, history and self-perception of the person speaking. Even the most unpleasant, targeted remarks result from their conditioning and ideas that they’re projecting outward. In voicing their opinions, they’re actually reacting to reflections of their own programming. Understanding this helps us to forgo being slighted by their attacks or negativity and instead feel compassion because their harsh judgment and lack of acceptance indicates an unquestionable need to work more on…

Loving themselves.
