To Err Is Human
We all make mistakes occasionally. When we’re distracted, frustrated or otherwise unconscious, we can blunder. It’s human to err. If we don’t accept ourselves, we’ll defend our actions to others, trying to convince ourselves that we were justified in our poor behavior. When we can accept ourselves for erring, it’s easier to acknowledge our mistake and make amends, when necessary. When we catch ourselves defending our actions, we can be sure we’re caught in a lack of self-acceptance. When we do accept ourselves as humans who err, it’s easy to make amends and…
