What We Need

It’s useful to anticipate leading the kind of life we want as long as we don’t get so caught up in expecting the details to show up in the way we envision that we become disheartened by the slightest deviation. Skillful and successful living isn’t necessarily the result of always getting what we want in the way we want it. Sometimes life will deliver what we ordered. Sometimes it gives us what we need. Happiness and well being come from clarifying our desires, pursuing them with persistence and then accepting whatever shows up…

With love and gratitude.
