It’s easy for marketers to prey upon our human fear of scarcity and convince us that we need all kinds of things┬áto feel happy and secure. But we actually need very few of the things we’ve been persuaded to desire. The idea that those things will result in long term well-being is a fallacy. If we want our lives to be rich and meaningful, the most important thing we can do is spend our energy cultivating love, connection and the feeling of inner freedom. These things don’t cost a penny…
