Following through on commitments and doing what you say you’ll do sends a message to others that your word is of value. When you consistently disregard the plans you’ve made and change your mind at will, it’s difficult for others to take what you say seriously. Worst of all, you can’t really trust yourself. Making a commitment to honor your word, even when you don’t feel like it, is a good policy to live by. It builds character, empowers you and earns the respect of others.
