When we worry about what others think of us, we work hard to project an image that we assume will make them accept us. Though we might believe that widespread acceptance of our identity¬†will make us feel secure, the truth is, scrambling to market our identity only creates more anxiety. As long as we’re seeking approval on the outside, we’ll perpetually feel insecure because there’s no way we can control what others think or what pleases them. There’s only one thing that will insure a good feeling about ourselves and bring us peace…
