It’s normal to experience embarrassment when a situation threatens the way you’d like to be perceived. Scrambling to uphold an image exacerbates the issue. There’s nothing more calming than noticing the embarrassment and feeling it. Just allow it to be, acknowledging to yourself that you don’t need to be anybody other than exactly who you are. You’ll never really be able to convey the precise truth of that to anyone. When you can allow these moments to pass without tripping

It’s freeing.
